Big news is brewing at &BACK COFFEE! We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been awarded the Innovative Achievement of the Year Award by the Coffee Association of Canada. This recognition celebrates our commitment to using coffee as a force for good—uplifting women coffee farmers, promoting sustainability, and helping businesses align with their values.

The award was presented at the Coffee Association of Canada’s annual conference, themed Coffee Unites, on November 14, 2024, in Toronto. The event brought together leaders in the coffee industry to celebrate innovation, community, and the shared love of coffee. Receiving this honor highlights the transformative work we’re doing with our bean-to-cup-&BACK approach, which focuses on responsibly sourcing coffee from women-led cooperatives and reinvesting in coffee-growing communities.

“This recognition underscores the power of coffee to create profound and lasting change,” said Roxanne Joyal, Founder and CEO of &BACK COFFEE. “At &BACK, we’re not just brewing coffee; we’re brewing purpose. This award inspires us to continue redefining the coffee industry as a vehicle for meaningful impact—for both people and the planet.”

The Coffee Association of Canada commended &BACK COFFEE’s innovative model, which prioritizes responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, and giving back. Our efforts include using Omnidegradable® packaging, maintaining Climate Neutral certification, and leveraging our ImpactQRC platform to connect coffee drinkers with the stories of the women who grow their coffee.

Coffee Association of Canada Awards 2024

The CAC Awards were launched in 2023 to celebrate excellence in the coffee community. We are proud to stand alongside recognized industry leaders such as the recipient of the Coffee Industry Lifetime Achievement Award, Peter Pesce, Reunion Coffee Roasters, the winner of the Small Chain — Big Impact Award, Waves Coffee House, Sustainability Award recipient Fairtrade Canada, and Volunteer of the Year Award winner, Cynthia Shanks, Keurig Dr Pepper Canada. These awards highlight the collective efforts of these exceptional individuals and organizations in driving innovation and positive change in the coffee industry.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our partners, including Van Houtte Coffee Services and Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, who have championed our mission from the very beginning. Together, we’re creating a new standard for sustainability and social impact in the coffee industry.

As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to pushing boundaries and driving positive change. Every cup of &BACK COFFEE is more than a beverage—it’s an opportunity to uplift women, build sustainable communities, and help businesses brew purpose into their daily operations.
