Ever wondered about the tiny heroes behind the scenes in the Amazon? Meet Meliponas, Ecuador’s stingless wonders and unsung pollination champions. Why are they so crucial? These pint-sized dynamos pollinate 35,000 flowers in just five weeks – a bee-hind-the-scenes miracle!

&BACK’s initiative introduces Meliponas bees to Robusta coffee farmers at Witoca, aiming to enhance the quality, volume, and taste of coffee cherries. By sponsoring 35,000 bees for every point of coffee sold, the project not only supports beekeeping but also aids in the rescue of these essential pollinators.

This impactful endeavour goes beyond coffee; it’s a commitment to the environment. Through careful bee care training programs, &BACK is empowering farmers and community members, building their skills to manage Meliponas apiaries and produce honey.

The project’s goals are clear: 35,000 sponsored bees, an increase in coffee quality through larger berries and enhanced taste, and the pollination of over 1.2 billion flowers to support Amazonian biodiversity. With each sip of &BACK coffee, you’re not just tasting quality; you’re contributing to a thriving ecosystem in Ecuador’s precious rainforest!
